Swiss chard (chopped)

Swiss chard is a leafy green vegetable with large, crinkled leaves and thick, colourful stalks that can be white, red, or yellow. It is cooked similarly to spinach, with the stalks often sautéed separately from the leaves since they take longer to soften. Its slightly bitter, earthy flavour mellows with cooking.

Chopping breaks an ingredient into pieces, which changes how much air gets trapped between them compared with the whole form.
