Whisky
Whisky is a spirit distilled from fermented grain mash, including varieties like Scotch, bourbon, and rye, each with distinct flavour profiles shaped by the grains used and aging process. It is used in cooking for sauces, marinades, and desserts, where its complex, sometimes smoky or oaky flavour adds depth once the raw alcohol cooks off. Different styles bring quite different flavour characteristics to a dish.
